Run Manual Device Test


You can run the device test manually at any time if you want to ensure you are device-ready without having to enter the virtual room, or if you want to run the test after having opted to skip the auto device test in the future.

Access Manual Device Test

From the Organisation page, access your profile settings at the  bottom left of the screen.



Access your user settings by clicking the Settings icon at the bottom left next to your username.

Click Test your device.

Browser Test

If you are using either Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari browser and your browser is up to date, this test will take just a few seconds and you will automatically move on to the next test. 

If you fail the browser test, make sure to use a supported browser or update your browser version.

Webcam Test

ClassDo may ask to use your camera. Click  Allow to use ClassDo. If you have blocked it, follow these steps to re-enable your camera.

You should be able to see yourself in the screen.

Change your camera

The current camera being used is shown under Camera. Click on it to change the camera being used.

Select the camera you want to use from the drop down list of available cameras.

Still cannot see yourself or only see a black screen?

Microphone Test

ClassDo may ask to use your microphone. Click  Allow to use ClassDo. If you have blocked it, follow these steps to re-enable your camera.

Try speaking into the microphone and check if the blue bars appear. The number of blue bars represent the volume of the sound of the microphone. If the blue bars do not appear, you could be speaking too softly or your microphone is not working.

Change your microphone

The  current microphone being used is shown under Microphone. Click on it to change the microphone being used.

Select the microphone you want to use from the drop down list of available microphones.

Still cannot see any blue bars when you speak into the microphone?

Speaker Test

Click Test speaker. You should be able to hear music playing. If you cannot hear anything, try turning up the volume or ensuring your earpiece is properly connected.

Click Stop music to end the speaker test.

Return to Organisation

After finishing the device test, click Back to organisation.
