Share What You See/Write/Draw/Make in Real Life with Visualiser

This article is for general users of ClassDo e.g. students. If you are an organisation owner, admin, or member with admin permissions e.g. tutor, please refer to this article.

Share with other room members in the virtual room what you are looking at in real life or writing/drawing on paper with ClassDo's unique mobile visualiser.

Before proceeding with the steps below, please ensure you are accesing ClassDo on your desktop or tablet as you will need to use your mobile phone (or a second tablet) to scan the QR code generated. Please also check that your tablet/mobile devices meet the minimum technical requirements for ClassDo.

Within the virtual room, all room members can use the visualiser at the same time, regardless of their roles in the organisation. However, unless you have the permission to start visualiser without host approval, you will need your room owner/admin to approve your request before you can share your visualiser screen with everyone.

To begin, you need to be in the Virtual Room. If you are not, refer to this article to enter a room. The associated controls are at the top right of the screen.

Turn On the Visualiser

Inside the virtual room, click Menu at the top right.

Click Visualiser.

Use your phone to scan the QR code in the pop-out window. For iPhone user, you may use the camera app on your phone to scan the code. For Android users whose camera app on your phone does not support QR code scanning, download Trend Micro™ QR Scanner app and use it to scan the code.

If necessary, tap on the URL shown.

If you are prompted to choose a browser to open ClassDo in, select Chrome for Android users, and Safari for iPhone/iPad users.

After opening the link in Safari/ Chrome, your phone/tablet is now an external visualiser for the virtual room! (Note that you may need to wait a few moments for your room host to approve your request to share your visualiser screen.)

Visualiser can also be used in landscape mode.  Tilting your phone will cause the visualiser to change to the respective orientation automatically (if you have auto rotate on your mobile device).
