Name Files


This article is for general user of ClassDo e.g. students. If you are an organisation owner, admin, or member with admin permissions e.g. tutor, please refer to this article.

Having trouble finding your content files in the Library? Name your files to match their content to help you find them more easily.

To use this tutorial, you need to be in the Virtual Room. However, you can also name files in the content library instead.

Name Files on Desktop

Click the '+' icon to open a new tab.

Under All Contents, select the file that you would like to (re)name to call it out from the Library. By default, the file name input field will be blank (given as (No name)) when you first create the content. Uploaded files will retain their original name when first uploaded.    

Click on the name to edit the name of the file.

Name Files on Mobile

Open a new tab. Tap the nine squares menu button at the top left corner, then tap the '+' icon at the bottom of the screen.

Under  All Contents, select the file that you would like to (re)name to call it out from the Library. By default, the file name input field will be blank (given as (No name)) when you first create the content. Uploaded files will retain their original name when first uploaded.     

Tap the Additional options button (three dots icon).

Type the name of the content into the  textbox under Content name.
